Digital camera price/quality

"I agree with you - scanners are nothing nowdays, but even then, you can get digital cameras for virtually the same price now, at least over here in the UK."

Sure, you can get a "cheapie" digital camera, but I'm picky about my quality, photograph being one of my hobbies. I'm holding out for 35mm quality, which calls for 5 megapixels or above. Those digital cameras are still in the US$400 and up range. When a 5 megapixel camera gets down into the $200 range, then I'll go for it. Inthe mantime, I'll stick with film and just have the pics put on CD when developed. In concession to the digital world, I only pics on CD and negatives now when I develop film. I figure if I really need a print, I can either print it myself, ot take the negatives/CD to photo place and have a print made. Cuts down the price of processing. Ultimately I'll probably have a "point & shoot" digital camera of around 3 megapixels, and a 5 megapixel or above SLR

I dig the glasses in the 1968 page.

I love 60s/70s pictures.

I have a Canon Powershot A75 or something like that. It was like $300 at BB. It takes the best pictures I've seen in a low priced cam. It has "Point and shoot" but you can also make manual settings. It has all the useful features, such as red-eye reduction, auto flash (which likes to turn on even if there's sufficient light :-?). Those pics of Bri were taken with that camera so you can use those as a reference.

Every one looks so cute.
Here is a pic of me after a friends wedding last Nov.

glasses

I wore glasses from the 5th grade up until about 4 years ago when I switched to contacts and went with the "Kojak" look (since I was going bald anyway) on the recommendation of friends. Everybody says it's a much better look now.

Those little point and shoot cameras are really nice, more features tahn ever for the price. You might be able to turn off the flash if you deem there's sufficient light, and save your battery power. Often those cameras are programed to flash even in sufficient light in order to a "fill flash" fucntion on people's faces.
