If it runs both arms at the same time, would that indicate a "larger" motor? If so, could the motors be switched into a one-at-a-time arm washer?

Here's the motor for Frig's machine. 60watts.
Seems a little beefier (not much) more than the 55watt motors I'm aware of in the WP machines that alternate the levels.
I don't know if they're interchangeable.

cuffs054: If you're suggesting I alter the machine to make it alternate between racks in order to cut down on some noise...the answer is definitely no for a number of reasons, beginning (and probably ending) with my complete lack of desire to ever look under the hood or tamper with anything therein, LOL.
It is what it is and what it's doing is working. Even cookware came out clean using the 1-hour cycle. I'll learn to live with it.

Dishwasher noise ....
I am ashamed to say I would not care how much noise it made as long as it saved me from doing dishes

You probably don't need a big pump when you only have 3 drops of water to work with. LOL

Fun seeing the Funeral Hotdish recipe. I don't think I've ever encountered that recipe, but it reminds me so much of the recipes one small town grandmother made--casseroles with hamburger, canned soup, and--for an exotic foreign touch--maybe chow mein noodles... I can imagine her making this recipe, but she'd have used canned vegetables. She always--always--used canned vegetables, at least as far as I can recall.
