I noticed this Aquafresh toothpaste ad is back on the TV in the UK and Ireland.

Aquafresh is a 3-stripe toothpaste from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)
It's been around since the 1970s

You tube below:

Nasty Nasty Nasty Tooth Paste.. Here is what i use: $5.00 with insurance copay... Expensive? Yes.. But it doesn't burn you're mouth at all, it leaves you with fresh breath and helps prevent any nasty gum stuff... I also use prescription mouth wash!

Aquafresh Is Good & Cheap!

I can usually find Aquafresh on sale for a dollar a tube during occasional sales at our local supermarkets. Generally, Aquafresh or Colgate Cavity Prevention (basic white paste) can be found for a buck a tube; I stock up when a sale is on. But if neither is on sale, I buy Pepsodent Complete, which runs around 88 cents a tube at Wal-Mart and is a good cleaner with a pleasant taste.
My dentist told me I can use just about any fluoride toothpaste, but I lean toward Aquafresh and Colgate CP because they have the ADA seal. Those and a rinse with Equate Spring Mint Antiseptic (a Listerine clone with the ADA seal) and a good flossing helps keeps my teeth in good shape--along with my dentist, of course!

I used some version of Crest while in the USA and it stripped the entire lining off my mouth! It was horrible.. It didn't seem to remain sore, but it definitely remove a layer of membrane!

Haven't come across anything that harsh over here. I don't think the formulations are the same. There's definitley more of a focus on whitening products in the states.

Tom's of Maine/Sonicare

Tom's of Maine makes a great toothpaste. I buy the peppermint flavor. That coupled with my Sonicare toothbrush and 6 month cleanings/exams have kept me cavity free for 38 yrs!
