I bought a Tappan badged gas-fired Frgidaire in 2001-2002 that had a circular dial that set the temperature, by way of a little computer. (It was not a mechanical thermostat). It was a great set-up. Low broil, hi broil, clean, off and bake temps all on one dial.

Turn dial and press "Start" LOVED IT!
