Lavamat78800: the movement I referred to, is the inner drum moving within the outer wash-tub. When empty, if you try to push up the inner drum, using your fingertips upon the drum rim. You might be able to identify a slight free movement as you lift up and release. On some makes there is absolutely no movement at all; on others there can be a fraction of a millimetre. On a faulty machine with bearing failure, there can be several millimetres movement.
