new tub for my Maytag A108

Hi, have a classic Maytag washer in my home. I'm no sure what year this is from but it is model number A108. I noticed water was leaking out of it, so the belts were replaced, but it still leaks. I'm afraid the tub is rusted and needs to be replaced. Is it possible to find a replacement tub? Or do I bite the bullet and get a new wahser?

Why would someone replace the belts to fix a leak?

 

Are you sure the tub is rusted? Has it been checked by someone? Outer tubs CAN be repaired sucessfully, it's been done many times. But make sure that's where the leak is at.

Is the leak in the left rear corner?

Perhaps the water inlet.

That was the problem with one of my Maytags.

A $15 fix.
