Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

We always have a New Years Eve party, and every year it seems to grow bigger and bigger. This year we ended up with close to 40 people.... it was a blast. Dominick cooked an all Italian dinner (chic parm, baked pasta, meatballs, sausage, and green beans with mushrooms ), I did appettizers of grilled shrimp, crabcakes, cheeses, an Italian anitpast, spinach dip and some other stuff too.. I think everyone had a great time, heres a couple of pics

New Years Eve. & and the dreaded next day!

Let me start this off with something you don't see to often.(Dean and I showing public affection!) HA, caught on camera.

The next pic is in the basement. It never fails it always turns into a jam session. It was suppose to be a nice quite evening, Not! I drank a large bottle of wine and stayed up until 4:45.( No shit! I'm normally in bed at 9:30.)

The next day up at 9:00am, fixed Biscuits, gravy and eggs. Woke up the gang with the traditional metal pot and metal spoon.( They just love that!) Put the corn beef on, and started working on the cabinets from hell! So, with a real BAD wine hangover ( and cramps on top of that) I had the pleasure of sniffing stripper and inhaling the lovely particals of 50 year old varnish!

Here's what I did...

New Year's Eve: Woke up around 10-ish, checked postings, decided to make French Vanilla cake (I wanted to get it done quickly so I cheated and used the Betty Crocker mix...someone slap me). Went to the store to get a few supplies, headed back home. Set the CI for 350 degrees, Combined all ingredients in the KA, put batter into 8" rounds, and waited. Buzzer went off so I removed pans from the oven...used my trusty Cake Tester to check if they were ready. Removed each layer and placed both on cooling rack. After it was 100% cool, put it on glass cake pedestal and applied frosting. Set VCR from 9:00 PM--2:00 AM for South Park marathon. Watched TV until dinner...some sort of Mexican casserole and Borracho beans (pinto beans, 1 Corona, and fresh salsa, cilantro, etc...they're DELICIOUS and were served at the wash-in if some of you remember). After dinner, watched more Comedy Central, fell asleep around 11:45, and woke up RIGHT AT 12. Fired off a few confetti "poppers".

New Year's Day: Woke up around 11-ish, checked postings again. Stripped the bed and drove to the 'Mat to wash my comforter...too thick even for the 1-18. Watched some SPLASHY Huebsch and Wascomat double-loader action (who says FL's can't be water hogs?)! Wascomat oversudsed to the point of completely covering the window, but spun it all off before the first rinse. Drove back, put comforter in dryer. Took sheets down to the shed, opened the laundry room, and proceeded to load the WO-65-2 for the first Unimatic load of 2006. Added 1 cup of Ariel OxyBlue, watched pulsating action, heard water spin out into cabinet, and watched the hypnotic 1140 RPM spin. After loading sheets in the dryer, took my dad's recently purchased 2000 Infiniti I30 out for a LONG test drive (Glenn, are you listening? ;-)). Arrived back and smelled a wonderful spiral-sliced honey ham with cinnamon glaze, along with black-eyed peas. Ate a nice New Year's dinner with some STRONG red wine, and checked postings and AIM. Found out I missed an awesome New Year's party the night before...some were wondering why I wasn't there too...damn!! Talked w/ Jamie, Jon, & Reggie in a LONG chatroom session about vacuums, washers, you name it! Went to bed at 12:15.

Very boring, to say the least!

made more noise than a rocket launch

for the record, we were ALL sober LOL. My friend Tommy brought those damn noise makers. Peter, Tommy and I ran up and down the street banging pots and pans at the stroke of mid-night. @ more joined us after 12. I was the rowdiest more fun time I've had in years LOL.

Relaxing in Dallas

I left Arkansas on Sat. morning and went to Dallas to have a relaxing weekend with a dear friend. He and his partner own the WestEnd Comedy theatre in Dallas Alley. Partner was working a new job in Austin as Musical director at a show club called Esther's. Rob and I had an enjoyuable time he quickly put me to work seating reserved seat patrons. They had about 300 there. There was a champagne toast at midnight and then I wandered out into the street and visited with another friend who was DJing outside in the patio area. After the show the cast had a private party and we locked the club up at about 3 am and went to IHOP for breakfast.
I headed home Sunday afternoon and then went to eat with the folks this morning.
Alas, I really dont want to get up for work in the morning.

Went ice skating with friends at 'the depot' mpls. It was a mob scene so after an hour we left to ring in the new year at an irish pub.

Tom I think you really spent the weekend making snowflakes.

LOL

Well Jim, That was on my list of things to do for New Years Eve. Sit at home alone and make snowflakes. But the Dallas trip won out......But you better believe as soon as I got back home I started making snowflakes again......I guess I am going to have to join SFA (SnowFlakes Anonymous) oh and by the way here is the latest one :)

held up a convenience store............

frigilux,

Wow that is great! Since I've lost my retirement at the airline, I've been trying to think of ways to make some extra cash as an alternative to sending my mother some Oleander tea to knock her off so the trust will start paying. Now you have given me a wonderful idea!

Hold up convenience stores on holidays! I can fly around the country and never get caught and within no time have a Berkshire-Hathaway account.

Thanks for the tip!

I watched a really soaking wet Rose parade as it poured rain on Pasadena. Hey California, Welcome to My World!
