Hi everyone! I had no idea there was a club for washing machine enthusiasts and I am glad I landed here. After many years of searching for a beautiful condition Easy Spindrier, I finally secured one on Ebay about a month ago. You all might have seen it and I did see pictures of it posted here. It is in great condition. All chrome, porcelain, and paint are in pristine condition. The machine works pretty flawlessly with the exception of some noise on the spinner at the start and it eventually fades. It sounds like something metallic is snagging on one full rotation under the tub. It's really clean on the undercarriage and no rust anywhere. I do have to replace the wheels however after 60 years of deterioration. Rubber hoses are still pliable but would like to eventually replace them. The paint is shiny, with very minimal scratching and the porcelain and tub covers are flawless. I have already cleaned up the rubber gaskets on the tub covers and polished the unit. I do have a question about parts. I know this is a longshot for these machines but I need to replace the rubber trim separating the tub from the sheet metal skirting. I was wondering if anyone has any experience in finding these or a suitable substitute that I can work with. If anyone could make suggestions I would be very grateful. So nice to be here and hope to get to know you. There are many photos of my Spindrier in my profile. Thanks much! Glen

Congratulations, Glen. Found that in my neck of the woods! I assume you've already picked it up. I have lots of literature, etc., to go with my Easy Spindrier. I'm happy to share copies if you need anything.

Hello and Welcome!

Sadly NOS parts for Easy SpinDrier machines are very seldom found. Often owners will have to make do and mend by swapping out parts from a donor machine. This and or someone selling parts from same.

Using the search function try looking up your query in the archives. Seem to recall a similar question years ago now; but am not sure how the owner solved issue.

WOWZERS!!

First:
Hello & welcome to the group!

Second:
What a beautiful EASY spindrier! I didn't know they came in a 2-speed model? That is really cool!

Will you be making a video of your EASY any time soon? If you do, please demonstrate the LO agitation action.

Again, welcome to the group and CONGRATULATIONS on getting your EASY spindrier!
Love it!
:o)

Welcome Glen! You will find this to be a very hospitable, friendly and helpful group of folks on this site.

That Easy Spindrier looks to be a great find and in beautiful condition. Congratulations! And I, too have never seen a two-speed. Cool!

Wowzers, indeed!

(to steal Hippiedoll's exclamation!)

That is quite the find, Glen! Glad you found the club - lots of enthusiasts here, with a wealth of knowledge!

I'd be curious to know the date of manufacture of your model - I noticed the label shows Hupp Corp, so that means after 1957 when Murray Corp had acquired the assets of the Easy Washing Machine Corp of Syracuse, NY.
