How did you reset it?
What prompted you to reset the controller? Did you do it thru the control panel? If so, try going through the complete diagnostic test procedure and it should indicate if there is an actual problem with the dispenser circuit. You should be able to hear the actuator when it fires to open the door and the rinse aid. If not, you will have to remove the front panel and check for voltage at the wires that fire the actuator. If you show voltage at the connector and nothing happens, then you will need to replace it. If there is never any voltage to it, you will need a new controller unless there is a broken wire going to it. Inspect carefully. You should be able to test the dispenser while it is going thru the diagnostics.
Look for the service sheet that is often attached to the outer door or the kickpanel for how to test the machine if you don't know how already.
If the machine is still under warranty, have Maytag repair the machine. If it is out of warranty, dispensers are relatively inexpensive and easy to replace. Let me know if you need one. I have a few spare ones.
