Newest of GE top-loaders?

I 2nd the notion that liquid detergent leaves residue behind. Same goes for me with liquid dishwasher detergent.

Modern detergents use by-products of other chemicals processes for surfactants. Some of which are toxic. But then, why clean clothes when you can just cover them will perfume? I have a 55 gallon drum of pure soap from a local chemical company that sells primarily to industrial laundry services. The difference is amazing.

As for these waddle-paddle washers, ther're junk. I hooked up a calypso for sh**'s and giggles. Terrible machine. The only real alternative to a traditional top-loader is a front loader. And the front loader better be a Speed Queen. LG users might be happy after 2 years, but they won't be after 5. matt

Yes...If I knew that the energy star rating meant even less water being used I would have looked for a very high energy use...and not to mention I can't tweek the water level on my new frigidaire...theres only wires coming out of the level switch...not an adjustment screw to be seen...dammit

the whole point of getting a new machine is to open it up and modify it to our own likeing...Believe me I'll watch for this next time...but the next is definately going to be a SPEED QUEEN...
