Nice T.V. commercials tunes ;-)

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Here's Mine:

Its part of General Electric's 1980s and 1990's "We Bring Good Things to Life" scheme. This is actually an Australian version, and I LOVE IT. WAY BETTER than the American ones. I even nutted out the basic tune on the piano too :)

Here are the lyrics (What I can make out from the song):

G.E, we cool the things you love, we help you steal the show

We make your moments shine, make summer breezes blow

We make you pretty, we make you smile...

G.E.... We bring good things to live in, we bring good-things to life

(Narration): At General Electric, we're in the business of making products that make your life a little easier, a little better. And you know something? Thats a pretty nice business to be in...

(Music Starts): We bring you closer, to the ones you loo-vve

GE! We bring good things to live in, We bring good things to life

We bring good things to live in, we bring good things to life

(GE), We bring good things to life

(GE), We bring good things to life

By the way, I LOL'ed at the guy ironing his tie... Why do I imagine myself doing that in 10 years time?

yes, that's a nice one

Total Christmas enchantment ;-)

This tie-ironing guy is just like Family Guy in 3D *lol*

But I do remember 2 American spots that I cannot fully remember:
1.) Whirlpool (something with "all the way for you" or so, the melody was supporting that galaxy swing of that little meteorite around the Whirlpool logo (around the W that is).

2.) "America - get a fresh start everyday" (I even cannot remember the product, but the ad was SO McGuyverish!)

In Italy I'd probably choose the 50s and 60s Caroselli, Caroselli were typical ads of the 50s and 60s showing cartoons and musical ads, they were very followed by kids,  they were the last program of the evening to be aired, infact there was a saying " E dopo il carosello, tutti a nanna"- "And after the Carosello, all to sleep"...
I start with Philco washer advertisement of the 60s....I like the music. Uh Ih Uh ah ah....

The Ava detergent Carosello and the black chick..... they made a cartoon on this, that lasted until modern days..

The Calimero was a black chick that got dirt by dropping in a pool of motor oil,  and for this was excluded from all the chicks of the farm,  in this ad the mommy would not recognize him as her chick because she said didn't have balck chicks, all white ones....but here it comes Ava detetgent that made him white.
There were some dirty minds accusing this ads to have racists roots, actually I believe  it was just a innocent story for kids, no racism in this at all:

Calimero! I love him.

Awwww, Freddy, how cute!
That brings back old memories, I remember this, we had it here, too. I even had a small Calimero plastic figurine on my desk ;-)
So cute with that eggshell on top and his pleading round eyes and that cute baby voice ;-)
Just love him.

That Dash commercial is disgusting, we had the same stuff here.
(Idiot family one contra idiot annoucer swapping an idiot Dash against a good brand or a question) - I felt ashamed all over (although it was not even me who made this commercial). Embarrassing anyway.

But Calimero is so sweet ;-)
Thank you.

Washer111 (for lack of a first name), thanks for the GE ad, you are right: The US derivations of it do not sound as soothing as this one, I love it - took it to my library of "contageous songs" right away. Cannot stop humming away with it, nice.
(very much to the dismay of my neighbours *gg*)

Yes, I've to agree with the Dash ad, is not of the best, actually ridicolous indeed (on purpose?)  the announcer looked kinda drunk ......
I'm sure this was all prepared and not a case...like all of the series "Do you exchange Dash for 2?"
But even if was real, if I were in those vistors I'd  have asked myself: "where the hell I got?" _ "are italian as idiot as this announcer?"....You not always  meet a  drunk clown with such a question in the middle of a town....
But  I think is that, that  makes it nice, because I take it as thing to laugh to...
