The other day Joy Behar was interviewing Dolly Parton. Dolly's grandfather was a Pentecostal preacher and was not too enamored with her way of dress, cosmetics,and felt she was a "hussy" etc. But she said eventually he became very proud of her especially after she wrote a song about him.

A discussion about gay people ensued and she said that she felt as though G-D wanted us to look for the good in people and love one another for all our good qualities. She said that is how she likes to live her faith.And she loves gay people and feels we should be allowed to marry as we please.

I thought that was a beautiful way to put it. She is a beautiful person inside as well as outside.

Gyrafoam, i also watched the Parton interview, as usual Dolly got her point across, re: Rev. Joel Osteen, he is palatable enough, but Dolly said, "as a christian he should not judge others". alr2903

....why I say that social undesirables (by the criteria of the *ists as Panthera would say) should be armed?

NOT to be a vigilante. NOT to take the law in your own hands - that is anarchy. But to protect your life when and if you are threatened.
