Forgot......Also my Bosch says that you should NOT use chlorine bleach in the machine. There isn't even a spot for it in the dispenser. Does anyone have a non-chlorine bleach that does a good job on whites and towels?
If you can find it, you might try using dry chlorine bleach. You can add it to the tub along with your laundry. (Yes, I know. It's recommended that you add bleach later on in the wash cycle. The bleach dispensor in the coin operated Neptunes, in my building, adds bleach during the first rinse.) I know that one of the supermarkets in my area used to sell dry chlorine bleach. I haven't looked for it, so I have no idea if dry chlorine bleach is still available for home use. I've never used it, but I've seen dry chlorine bleach being sold at vending machines in coin operated laundromats. (See link below.)
Has never really been done over here- the reason Bosch dont put a dispenser in their machines is front loaders/HE machines dont actually need it because of the longer wash times and slow water heatup etc.
Stain removers/detergent additives are sold over here but are only needed on EXCEPTIONAL staining. For everyday use they are just not needed- Also a word on water temperature- id say 90% of people will only use a programme above 40C (110F)occasionally for heavily solied whites!. This is why powders are better than liquid in HE machines- they dont fill the machine with sticky gooey residue
I agree with Lawrence. I use an oxygen booster in the soak cycle on my Frigidaire FL and then just need to run a regular cycle on the whites and have no trouble. I get it at my local Big Lots (formerly Pic n Sav) for $1.89. Works well.
