North American Hoover Automatics?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Guy, if you see in VCCC, Fred posted a copy of the cover of Hoovers 60's annual report which shows their lineup of appliances including the auto washer/dryer. I can't remember ever seeing them for sale anywhere back then like I did all their small appliances.

I have a full sized set of Hoover Automatics from 1967/1968. They were indeed rebadged Blackstones, but with slightly different trim and features. I have them in storage awaiting a rebuild. I rounded up all the parts I need but just have not had the time yet to tackle them. If I get to them soon I will take some pics........

Oh What I wouldn't I Give

To be able to back up a semi and make a sweep of everything in that shoot/warehouse!

You all can have the wood pallets!

Look at that big rectangle shaped door on the dryer. Those gorgeous colours for the vacuums and small appliances.

Old man Hoover must have spun in his grave when his family sold off the company and Maytag raped the Hoover brand for all it was worth.

I'm crying, just crying!

I've seen a apartment sized single tub Hoover automatic washing machine. It was white, probably 24" wide and controls were on the backsplash like a full size washer. Can't remember if it was on wheels or not but it looked like it was produced sometime in the 1970's
