Not To Be Opened Until Age 21

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

This must have been given out back then for new births! It was never opened, the Sunday Paper from 1962 is like in mint condition, this will make for some fun reading...

Robert, what great finds, love that Hoover Fry pan, now you will have to fix some "Hoover Fried Chicken" I bet that newspaper will make for very interesting reading.

Master Robert--that's how our Aunt's used to address

called

Love the old zones; used to be Buffalo 10, New York for me

Hey Robert, there have to be some amazing washing machine ads in that sunday paper, not to mention the treasures in the Want ads. What fun you'll have there, under "Washer&Dryers."

Just had a wild thought: Wouldn't it be insanely freaky

if there's an Apex in the Want ads, the washer remained unsold, and the owner is still available. You'd be crazy with joy!

Uni,

Suggest when you're finished enjoying that paper, that you roll it back up tightly and then stuff it in a long vacuum seal bag, pump out the air, and seal it. That will help keep the paper from turning brown and crumbly.

Does that say "Master" or "Mister" on the address tag? Interesting... I can't wait to see the editorial page from 1962!

That Hoover electric skillet/broiler is great, have you tried it? We had a similar Westinghouse version - I had many a cubed-steak dinner out of that. Too many. We'll have to play with it next weekend - we can make peanut brittle!

Great finds, as usual, Robert! Would love to see that newspaper. I would have been three years old at the time. Who are the 10 most wanted men?

How does that Maytag Automatic Clothes Sprinkler work? Our '60 Kenmore dryer came with a sprinkler ball. Just add water and toss it in. Is that how the Maytag version works, too?

wow

cool score Robert,

BY the way Dec 17th, 62 is my b day ( and thats the only time any of you alls will catch me admitting that) but a posting of something from that paper on Monday would be a incredible gift ( hint Hint) I wonder if the Peanuts were directly below Blondie there.

Maytag sprimkler

The sprinkler was for the HOH dryers and was placed where the lint filter was on the back. You had to remove the filter cover and the lint filter. Filled it with water and placed it in the back and if I can remember correctly you ran the dryer on air fluff for about 10 to 15 minutes. My mother used it a couple of times but decided the damp dry was the best way to go.

My parent's have that hoover. They got it as a wedding present back in 1978 (I'm a youngin). It works great, we have had many fish dinners cooked on that thing. Enjoy it!

~Does that say "Master" or "Mister" on the address tag?

I believe it's "Master" which is techncally correct for a young man who has not yet reached his majority. (i.e. is under-age).

No Toggleswitch ; There is no broiling element on that

High Dome Hoover Frying Pan Broiler Lid ! Just a place to
plug in the thermostatic heat control , so that the Fremstads
are able to appear as if they are equal to their neighbors ,
The Joneses!!!!

And no, no; we do not use Easy Off on Aluminum !
It will roon the finish. Back to Small Appliances A class
for you! (I think you still have time to register for the Spring Semester!)

MASTER MICHAEL SAYS: Gee Thanks, AND

The shine sure looks good to me, a lot less off-putting than tattle-tale gray t-shirts.

Uhm, I didn't hear that frypan say HOOVER Stainless Ste

but then, I didn't hear it say Hoover Aluminum Clad Stainless
Steel Fry Pan either. It seems to me Mrs. Rollmop , that perhaps I shouldn't have relied on the accuracy of the self
administered do it yourself hearing test kit either!
Spray on that Easy Off!!! Shine away!!!

You my baby-daddy?

~I shouldn't have relied on the accuracy of the self
administered do it yourself hearing test kit either!

Personally I don't trust the at-home pregnancy tests. All else is debate-able.

Scenario:
Svelt cutie-pie secretary on boss' lap:
Boss says: Sweetheart I dont care how well you type. You can miss al the commas, hyphens and quotation marks you want. But never miss a period around here.

:-)

I say it does and I am unanimous in that!

~There is no broiling element on that High Dome Hoover Frying Pan Broiler Lid !

I'm getting dense in my old age... and I honestly don't know

Do it or don't it?

Does that say "Master" or "Mister" on the address tag? Interesting... I can't wait to see the editorial page from 1962!
It says Master greg, as they used to refer to kids under the age of 18. I'm not sure if people still do that. We'll have to read that paper this weekend and see the editorials.

oh that fry-pan is interesting; does it have an element under the lid?
It sure does have a second element under the lid for broiling. I'm trying to clean under the lid as its caked in old grease and grime. I used oven cleaner, but it only took about half of it off. I probably going to spray it again.

Shame on you Robert - you went ahead and opened it before you were 21! ;-)
You know how naughty us kids are Dan :)

My best friend from grade school still addresses letters to me, Master Pat ... I just think he likes to be dominated - Fun!

I think Robert does have a little naughty streak in him - just the right amount of defiance - More Fun!!

oooh me likey!

Thank you Samantha, dear. :-)

Now if it's not too much trouble, may I request a shot of the cord receptacles and the money shot--the guts (2nd element) and the bottom.

We'll overlook a little greasy mess from the prior owner!
