There is a product sold at Costco by the name of HEMPZ Herbal Body Moisturizer enriched with 100% pure Natural Hemp Seed Oil. It is sold in the first aisle of the health and beauty section after the food with other body lotions and moisturizers. It is on a big card with plastic enclosures for the big pump bottle and the smaller 6 oz bottle beside it and it costs $11.99. This stuff is AMAZING for stopping pain. It has no THC. I am no longer awakened in the night by horrible pain in my right hand. I got some for a friend and he reported great relief yesterday at work within hours after he first tried it and slept without being awakened by pain in his knee last night. I apply it to both arms and hands before leaving for work and before going to bed. It is frightening that I now have my parents' ailments, but at least there are better things now to bring relief.

I heard that! When I squat down to empty things it sounds like fireworks inside. Just sitting down slowly moving my knee joints it sounds like a squeaky swing.

I wonder why they're marketing it as a moisturizer instead of a pain reliever. Seems to me they'd be better off promoting it as the latter of the two. How would anybody be aware of its healthful benefits otherwise?
I would imagine that it is to avoid the Food & Drug Administration. Anyone who knows anything about hemp knows that it has many benefits, but I doubt that medical claims can be made for hemp due to decades of discrimination. I say discrimination because when the schedule of controlled substances was formulated, Canabis was added as a way to make life uncomfortable for Mexicans who were accustomed to smoking it even though hemp contains no THC. I learned about that on a PBS documentary years ago. All of the pain relief from hemp has been denied to us because of this.

I bought some and it has a wonderful scent! I hope it helps the joint pain I have in my elbows. It works awesome as a moisturizer.
I’ve been using cannabis for several years for arthritis pain relief, and it is excellent for this treatment. I went through my last hip replacement in 2016 without use of any opioids, just the MJ and about 20 Tylenol codeine #3’s. My orthopedic surgeon was perfectly OK with this. I hate opioids and won’t take them.
Personally, I prefer using my MJ either as an edible or smoking it for pain relief, but this topical cream would be great for anyone that doesn’t wish to ingest it, or experience any high. The high is a fringe benefit for me, my anti Trump medication, LOL. Works wonders helping me chill out.

My aunt who lives in Seizure World in Laguna Woods had terrible arthritis pain, but once she could get MJ, she had very little pain.

Hempz is a more reliable substance than anything available at a dispensary (in states that allow them). I've been giving CBD in pill form to Dave at bed time, as some time ago I saw a news story about a woman with dementia who didn't even recognize her own kids, and after trying everything conventional and being written off by medical professionals as a lost cause, daily doses of CBD returned her to being entirely lucid and independent.
The problem I'm having is twofold: The pills are not consistently available, and even though I buy the 30:1 when I can find it (the highest ratio I've seen, which indicates negligible amounts of THC), sometimes I have reason to think they're making Dave a little loopy. Since he's already impaired from his first major stroke and two smaller ones, it's hard to be sure. Smoking actual pot with high levels of THC impairs his already compromised motor skills so much that he has to be in a wheel chair. I also don't know how much time needs to be allowed before expecting any improvements with CBD. It's quite possible that nothing will help, but for me -- and Dave -- it's worth a try.
If only I could get the same brand and ratio each time I visit the dispensary, I'd be better able to judge effectiveness. This is something that needs to be addressed, but until the FDA is allowed get involved, it's going to remain a crap shoot.
One of these days when I don't have to go anywhere or do much at home, I think I'll take one of these pills during the day and see if I notice any side effects.
