Ensemble for first wash load

Bob the dress, gloves and those heels I'm sure I have around here somewhere, but that hat, oh where will I ever find that hat!

Fabulous catalog shot Jerry, thank you.

wash basket capacities

Hi Robert,i had been wondering for a little while now about the capacities of your 52 WP,the 57 Lady, and the 64 KM.
Are the wash tubs in these three machines the same size?

Belt drive parts

"But with that said belt-drive Whirlpool parts are now fast becoming NLA and now is the time to stock up on them because they will be like Unimatic parts soon, gone for ever!"

To WP's credit, the fact that they used the same basic mechanism for SO long and that KM in particular was SUCH a good seller means that there are TONS of new and used parts out there, as well as machines to cannabalize if necessary. Unfortunately, this can't be said of other manufacturers like Frigidaire, Speed Queen, who kept switching mechanisms every so often. The "Champions of Design Longevity" other than WP, seem to be Maytag, Norge, & GE, which makes older models much easier to restore and even upgradeable to better than original.

Very Happy for you Robert!

Robert,
I can't get over how beautiful your new set is! It is like you just had them delevered in 1957! I am so glad that the guy that sold them to you, found you. It was meant to be.
I totally understand that you need to brake down your 57 from the farm. I do want you to know however your hard work on that machine, and the outcome has been shared with many. Everytime Les and I want to show all of the hard work that goes into some of the machines the club members find, we always go to the pictures of the restoration of your lovely 1957 Lady Kenmore. It always hit's a home run as far as turning the attitude of the person that we are showing, around. They are so amazed at the outcome of that washer, that they actually ask for us to go back to the pictures of when you found it on the farm! So in short, always have your pictures of your Alberdeen Farm Lady Kenmore up so that we can share with them the talent involved in this artform.
Thanks for always sharing your finds!
Can't wait to hear about the first load that you do!
Brent

Thank you Brent for your kind words. Oh after all that work I went through to restore that monster and photograph the whole process, you bet I'm going to keep those pictures up on the site. Like Lucy and Samantha the white Lady Kenmore will live on in pictures forever!

Robert, great find!

Or they found you-even betterLOL. These machines are absolutely gorgeous and the dryer's history with the 8400wt element absolutely blows my mind. I can't imagine why I never spotted these in childhood. You keep us posted on these, we like to hear all about them.
