Glad the roof saved your home, and that the damage was minimal, and moreover that nobody was hurt. I think hipped roofs are more expensive to build, but from a structural integrity standpoint, they are worth it.

It's been raining the past few days so that slowed things down, but hopefully the roofers will come out and put the shingles on. The window has to move over a little for the fireplace but the builder said at no cost.

The main question I get from everyone that goes in the house is...

"Why are there 2 washer hookups" and I have to explain my madness.

And moving day can't come soon enough. I put in a 3/4 full load of colored clothes in the shredder. I went to go play with the computer, then I came back to the kitchen. My mom then informed me that she put it 2 more pairs of pants and a jean. I also noticed that the machine was back on RIP speed and the timer was spun around back to 16.

AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

And lemme guess, she's going to hang them up wet on the rack. :-( She is SO not Oasis Certified.

OMG my mom wouldnt have dared! there would have been an instant arguement. and then to change the speed AND move the dial to 16 MINS??? lord have mercy. and on high speed? my family never understood why i used the *gentle action* setting on our machine when i was a kid. and my mother ALWAYS set the machine to the maximum wash time, no matter what she was washing. good luck jason!

Before the bad laundry habits sink in, let us all gently guide and teach Helen the proper way to sort, load, and wash clothes, so I can concentrate on watching, drinking coffee and loading 45s on the Magnavox.
