I'm a vegetarian

But I'm going to stop by McDonald's every week this summer, order up, well, something, and fill out a customer comment card every time that they have my business for standing up to those hateful bastards
Same reasoning why I refuse to buy a Ford but support Cadillac.

You go Keven!! I just went and got me two McGriddlers and coffee from there. Mickey D's rules <br
As a resident of central Florida, home to the "Happiest Place on Earth" (that would be Disney World), we play host once a year in June to Gay Days. Gay Days started in 1991 as just a tiny group of gay men, wearing red shirts to celebrate their, well, gayness! It has morphed into a two week long celebration generating hundreds of millions of dollars for Disney and the local economy. It takes place predominantly at the Magic Kingdom, where it is quite amusing standing in line for a ride as hair product is being passed down the line from one queen to another. But I digress. <br
AFA and of course, the southern Baptist assholes have tried for so long to protest, boycott, etc., etc., and year after year, Disney gives them the finger. Disney won't budge. So, does anyone think that with revenues in the hundreds of millions of dollars, the company is going to say, "Oh, yeah, family values". Well, our kind of family, yes. <br
But Disney, McDonalds, Ford and lots of other companies know what the AFA seems to have forgotten. It's money that makes the economy go round, not family values, the bible or any other such nonsense. Asking a company to openly discriminate against paying customers is like saying McDonald's can't buy beef any longer (or whatever that stuff is they put in their hamburgers). Why not just say we'll boycott McDonalds for hiring people of the Muslim faith??? After all, they're all terrorists, right? Yeah, uh huh.... <br
Oh, by the way, if you all out there in AW land have never been to gay days at Disney, you owe it to yourselves to go just once. It's quite the scene with 100,000 queens parading through the Magic Kingdom, and the other parks, wearing their red shirts, holding hands, while their straight counterparts, for the most part, could care less. Disney has given relatively few refunds to customers who would prefer to come back during "straight days". And the protests? Well, they don't even bother anymore.

I do so wish that mainstream media would stop using the number of people on email lists as indication of a group's clout. I used to work in internet marketing, and mailing lists are mostly crap: Of those "2.8 million addresses", they probably get maybe 2000 people to actually open their email, and of that only about 200 do anything. So essentially you have a whole lot of hoopla for a minuscule chunk of the population <br
As for McDonalds, I don't mind their food, but it always makes me feel so gross after eating it that I have sworn off them. I think they'll do just fine without me though :-)

First it was Wal-Mart (for selling “Brokeback Mountain” DVDs), then it was Ford, now its McDonalds, LOL. Whatever bitches <br
Oh the American Family Association has more than one website, I mean hatesite. Their news site is www.onenewsnow.com. I look at this site at least a few times a week to keep up with the enemy so to speak. It seems they have an automatic filter built into their web site that automatically replaces the word "gay" with the "homosexual" on all of their news storys and that they relay. Well there is a sports figure named Tyson Gay who did something big in the sports world (don't ask me what he did, my father tried when I was a kid, but I insisted on staying in the kitchen with the women). Anyway read this from Fox News of all places LOL! Yay, fools that they are <br
Oh and since we're having such fun, be sure to Destroy Traditional Marriage, go ahead click on that and help us gays destroy it, I'm just sick and tired of men marrying women lol.

Well, now, Robert,

We have to be tolerant. There is no known cure for male-pattern heterosexuality. Current scientific research indicates they're born that way and it can't be helped.
Besides, there has to be someone for women to tell what to do, how to do it, when to do it and where to do it.

What is this

"homosexual agenda" I keep hearing about?

I've heard only about "equal rights."

If anyone has a copy of the agenda, I'd be delighted if you would post it.

McDondald's is not the easiest one to get to, but I do go there once a month, usually. Here, they have really delicious iced coffees. I get a large Hazelnut coffee.

I'm almost certain that the AFA has more names on its mailing list than people who actively read and support their message.

My grandmother somehow got on the AFA mailing list, probably because she was closely connected to the church she went to. Even after she stopped attending that church, she was getting AFA newsletters every month, probably until she went to a nursing home. Whoever has her mailing address now might still be getting a newsletter, assuming they still send one.

I remember reading the AFA newsletter. After a while, it became clear that it was the same thing, over and over, month after month. I wondered about a few things. Maybe I should have written to them and asked these questions, which frankly puzzled me:

1. If TV is so bad (and I won't argue with that one), why not just turn it off?

2. If you are so appalled by seeing this stuff on TV, why do you watch carefully enough so you can report the number of times you saw a bare butt on NYPD Blue?

Once again it's largely Judeo-Christian religions who're behind these hate groups: the AFA, FRC etc.

By now they're ridiculous caricatures of themselves, and if it weren't for U.S. media giving them coverage they'd have virtually no social or political clout.

In spite of my diet, I'm craving a Quarter Pounder with Cheese.

Make that a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Supersize Fries, a Large Shake, and an Apple Pie. My cholesterol number is jumping into orbit just thinking about it.

I really wish these hate groups would stop calling themselves Christians. It makes those of us who do not discriminate look bad.

Jax - ok you just made me very, very hungry. Back up the street I go to McDonalds, my second trip today!! You naughty boy......

The AFA is nothing but a huge joke, plain and simple, building on people's selective, idiotic prejudices that they were taught to propagate.

They are more like the "Un-American Fam.Assoc.--

It seems to me that it is a rather un-American activity to attack and boycott an American business of any kind irregardless----especially considering how much money is already going on a one-way trip overseas.

This old Karl Rove "divide and conquer" s%#t is the kind of politics I want to see dissapear. The "Ejacumenicals" seem to live by this way of thinking. I think most real Americans are tired of it, too.
IMO if they want to divide anything they need to SEPERATE CHURCH AND STATE!!!!! And start taxing the "Ejacumenicals".

Is it wrong...

.... that as a kid I had a crush on Ronald?
Those big feet.
those flashy clothes.
the fascination with excessive make-up.
I don't know.
I do have 'a thing' for red-heads.
sigh.
don't ask ME about the significance of the egg mcmuffin.
perhaps this explains my dating difficulties.

Well, you know that MC 'Ds does sell some healthy stuff,

Sometimes when I get off of work, which is usually one in the morning, I will stop off at Mc donalds and get my fruit and walnut salad, and maybe a yogart pafait. I guess that I will have to make it more often...........As far as the AFA and all of the other groups like this including the Grennboro Baptist church that protests at solders funerals, it makes me wonder what really is going though their heads? When I can't think of anything, then I have my answer!
I went march in our local gay pride, there were protesters as their always is at the start of the route. The man yelled that what we were doing was wrong and that we needed to repent right now. I looked him in the eye and told him that God is Love, and if he really knew that, he would not be standing there. The man did not know what to say.

awesome response Ritchie

It takes a steady hand to deal with people who are acting irrational.
I detest people that are acting so obnoxious too.
But I too have learned that when you consider they are acting that way out of fear, you realize that it is best to show them, there is nothing to be afraid of. And the best way,
is to say
HI.
be a person.
Good for you.
