You go Keven!! I just went and got me two McGriddlers and coffee from there. Mickey D's rules <br
As a resident of central Florida, home to the "Happiest Place on Earth" (that would be Disney World), we play host once a year in June to Gay Days. Gay Days started in 1991 as just a tiny group of gay men, wearing red shirts to celebrate their, well, gayness! It has morphed into a two week long celebration generating hundreds of millions of dollars for Disney and the local economy. It takes place predominantly at the Magic Kingdom, where it is quite amusing standing in line for a ride as hair product is being passed down the line from one queen to another. But I digress. <br
AFA and of course, the southern Baptist assholes have tried for so long to protest, boycott, etc., etc., and year after year, Disney gives them the finger. Disney won't budge. So, does anyone think that with revenues in the hundreds of millions of dollars, the company is going to say, "Oh, yeah, family values". Well, our kind of family, yes. <br
But Disney, McDonalds, Ford and lots of other companies know what the AFA seems to have forgotten. It's money that makes the economy go round, not family values, the bible or any other such nonsense. Asking a company to openly discriminate against paying customers is like saying McDonald's can't buy beef any longer (or whatever that stuff is they put in their hamburgers). Why not just say we'll boycott McDonalds for hiring people of the Muslim faith??? After all, they're all terrorists, right? Yeah, uh huh.... <br
Oh, by the way, if you all out there in AW land have never been to gay days at Disney, you owe it to yourselves to go just once. It's quite the scene with 100,000 queens parading through the Magic Kingdom, and the other parks, wearing their red shirts, holding hands, while their straight counterparts, for the most part, could care less. Disney has given relatively few refunds to customers who would prefer to come back during "straight days". And the protests? Well, they don't even bother anymore.
