What a beauty!!

I really like old refrigerators, especially bottom-freezer models from the '60s. I'd make a run at that if I didn't already have my beloved turquoise '67 Frigidaire Imperial. I also have a garage 'fridge too, an early '70s TOL french-door bottom freezer Coldspot, so no room for another.

From looking at the photos, it appears that some tasteless individual in a hurry painted over the handsome "Customatic" badge on the door. Hope it goes to a good home and the badge gets restored - it deserves it!

That's a wonderful unit, great design. Little work by a skilled/talented person and it would be a great piece. Apparently GE did not patent that type of shelf. I think this is the only non GE fridge however that I've seen that type of shelf in.

Looks like the freezer door pedal is missing. Where the freezer door is open you can see where the little pokey thing would come out, and an indentation for where the pedal would be.

Hydralique, if you have a digital camera and a chance sometime, I would love to see a picture of your French door Coldspot. I never knew Sears had offered one.

Freezer even has a special section to hold that must have grocery item of the 1950's and 1960's, frozen orange juice. *LOL*

My mother always bought Tropicana, though sometimes we had Minute Maid.

Problem was our Frigidaire (big coppertone behemoth, with freezer on bottom), froze things so soild it sometimes to a bit of work to mix the frozen OJ with water. Lots of banging with a spoon!

Oooh!

That's even BETTER than the GE design with the rotating, lazy-Susan shelves. With this one, you don't lose space, and the stuff comes out to you, rather than twirling around.

That, and I LOVE the freezer on the bottom.

What a fridge!!

Plus, you can't beat the fact that you get a frosty beverage when you pick-up the fridge. How many eBay deals offer that? :-)
