Oh, lucky for you to have met John Waters Matt. I forgot the line Try Mr Ray's wig world. I think both Glenn and John's dad's worked at Black and Decker in management. I think Mrs Milstead said in the interview. My mom's cousin lived in Baltimore before GM transferred her husband to Detroit. The same area. Her oldest son went to first through fourth grade at the same Catholic school as Waters. In 1980 she told my mom about Polyester and mom said I should see it.
By the time I could, the scratch and sniff cards weren't available.
Well, I was told by a friend that JW was going to appear at the Waterfront Theater for a lecture and showing of "Female Trouble".
So 5 of us piled into the car and headed downtown to see JW.
And of course, I had to bring my copy of Trash Trio for autographing.
The movie "Female Trouble" was an uncut version that we've never knew about, with a few extra scenes.
I have in fact a copy of that version on DVD.
Afterwords, across the street, he was going to greet patrons at a restaurant/bar called "Warmdaddies", which is where JW was sitting at a table near the door greeting people, and where I got my book autographed.
Back in 1979 that restaurant was called PT's, a classy dinner/bar with live jazz bands.
A lot of celebrities showed up there, city officials, etc.
During the breaks of live music, They had a DJ play dinner music, dance tunes, etc.
I was the DJ there for 6 months in 1979, eventually quitting and focusing on other things.
However, I got to know quite a few famous people who went there, along with some dirty celebrity secrets.
