Well Mother Superior
My reasoning goes like this.
1) Purchased from original owner in Syracuse a 1958 Bendix Duo, she raised 4 children with one washer, she was put in a Nursing home 4 years before I got there. The machine was still hooked up with detergent and bleach on top and it was the ONLY machine in the house.
2) The pump on the Bendix is a factory original not one of those WESTWOODS' you keep trying to sell as Bendix!
3) If the pump was a replacement then it had to have been done in the early 60's. The door boot was factory replacement, is gray and is still on the machine, the boot could only have been replaced in the 1960's. So the latest the pump could be is 1960's.
So if you want to nit pic then the pump has run almost 50 years not 60.
