They must get the name from the usage of water and energy these models use (their energy guides show $48 electric water heater and $18 gas)don't have a tizzy,I am verry excited and realy like the new design (I prefer the Whirlpool over the Kenmore.I hate smoked plastic/glass lids or doors.I want to see it all!The Whirlpool models have the clear see through doors and lids!!)they have condured up.I am sure their has to be some kind of deal they have made with FP like GE has with LG on these new machines. In fact, one of the Oasis models has a verticle agitator(dual action)that actualy has rubber fins as oposed to hard polly ones!!the are extreamly flexable and seam to be a lot gentler that the pollies are!Thwy have built in dispensers that are timed and one model is equiped with a heater! There are no sharp edges and the seam in the tub is folded in to eliminate any sharp edges. The dryers are souped up Whirlpools with newly designed doors and rounded edges. The Whirlpools will be released in July this year.Either way,the price points are quite reasonable and the way things look as far as the choices in features and model sellections go,it looks to me like we are coming to the end of another era in the appliance industry.Just like the old wringer washers going out of production,it looks to me like the old ossolaters are going to follow right behind.I am seeing so many more of the impeller type and front loading tumbler machines coming out and less and less newer versions of the common agitator models.I also have a serious vision that we are going to see more and more improvements and releases of the full size combination washer/dryers.While at the K.B.I.S this year,I am planning on speaking to the V.P.of LG and asking about the possibility of their manufacturing washer/dryers that run on 220/240V and/or gas for dryer heat instead of or along with the current 120 volt versions.Home Depot will have their new line of ranges within the next three or four weeks and their new line of gigantic capacity washers and dryers with built in steaming in March. The new washers and dryers will be available in a verry dark shade of blue(midnight).Washer$1599/Dryer$1299 electric/$1349 gas.Range $1099 in colors/$1299 in Stainless Steel. The range is true convection with a speckled blue porcelain on steel intrior and door liner,a warming drawer and warming zone, all glass/digital controls NO NOBS!!!!!!! and a hidden bake element in the oven.
