Last night I had a power outage during the wash cycle. So after the lights finally came back on, I set the machine to do a rinse/drain and spin and went to bed. Woke up this morning to a LF error (long fill). I've seen this before when I tried to wash a comforter that wouldn't spin. I guess the washer does NOT like sopping wet clothes in the basket when it's trying to fill. Maybe the tub was floating because of the weight. Who knows. SOOO, I cancelled, did a spin only and then did a rinse/drain and spin. The machine worked as normal.
Agiflow, I'm very happy with the machine. It cleans really well and is gentler than a regular top loader. BUT not as gentle as a front loader, the only tradeoff.

Jason I watched the video again, the reverse turnover seems very good in the Oasis, better than in the Harmony. I love all of these videos!!! Keep it up boys.

Well, true to today's attitude, the machines now talk back and holler when it can't do it right.

Took a look in Consumer reports today. OasisHE sits proudly at the top of the list of High Effeciency top loaders.
It has very good washability, I say excellent. Very good energy efficiency, agreed. There are FASTER washers out there, but the Oasis is BIGGER so it comes out to same amount of G's. Water effenciency, average, agreed. Noise, very good, agreed. Gentleness, average, agreed. They report it tends to tangle and get off balanced. I've had a big load of sheets and towels tangle once, and I also had a comforter get out of balance once, and that could've been improper loading on my part. But still, TOP OF THE LIST!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!

Hi Jon-- A true BobLoad® can only be approved by Bob (Appnut) himself. Post a list of what's in the load and a picture of it actually loaded into your washer at thread #7179 in the Imperial Forum (Would Bob Approve?). He'll get to it. And I'm glad you're joining in on the fun!

Bring it on! Lets see the Oasis handle that big load.
Jon-- That was one HELL of a huge load, and made up of mostly large items, so I wouldn't feel too bad about the lack of rollover. I think any TL'er would have struggled with all those sheets.
Jason-- What does the Oasis do if the load becomes unbalanced? Does it have a scare-the-hell-outta-you buzzer like the Kenmores of yore? Does the machine stop or does it continue through the cycle without spinning?

The outer tub bangs against the body and the washer immediately stops. It only happened for a queen size bedspread that got off balance. Everything else balances nicely.
It does vibrate a little in high speed spin but that's about expected.

I would imagine that with a tub that wide, there isn't a whole lot of clearance between it and the cabinet. I stopped at a Sears this weekend and checked one out. They are so cool. Also looked at the agitator version, but the version you have would seem to be more fun---and different.
You mentioned vibration. Is your machine on a concrete floor? In my warehouse apt., the washer was on regular flooring, so the washers (every one of them---the KitchenAid TL, the various WCI/Electrolux FL'ers, the Frigidaire 1-18 and the '59 Lady Kenmore) would vibrate and shake a bit during the spin cycle. In my house, the washer is on concrete, so there isn't so much as a shimmer of vibration during spin.
I'm still debating between the TOL Duet FL'er and a Cabrio (I'd have to go w/ Whirlpool, as the nearest Sears is about 70 miles away). I'm very dedicated to the FL format, but the Oasis/Cabrio would be so much fun... Decisions, decisions.

Now that we have seen what the disc version is like washing..it would be nice to see how the agitator model works..but with those rubber base fins..leaves me a little cautious.
The agitator in the Oasis struck me as looking very odd; kinda like one of the first spinal skeletons that emerged from the primordial ooze. Would be interesting to see it in action, though, wouldn't it?

I'm sure the agitator machine has a higher water level than the disc machine but I'm sure it does load sensing as when the basket floats, it's ready to agitate. It's not as "HE" as the disc machine but who cares, water's cheap. What's expensive here is the electricity. The OasisHE uses a DC motor which uses less current and it spins the clothes nearly dry which saves ALOT when drying. I like my washplate machine. It's wonderful, unique and fun to watch/use.

Oasis and wrinkling
Jason, I saw a video at Sears on the Oasis. It looked impressive. However, the saleman has one, and also likes it, but claims that the clothes come out VERy wrinkled and twisted, and that they need to be dried in the drier. I do like to hang up some clothing outside.
Do you have any problems with wrinkling, or do you dry everything in the dryer?
Also. How do you like ther dryer??

I dry everything in the dryer and the clothes come out perfect. No wrinkling at all. I would guess that if you want to line dry, you can select medium spin speed (around 600rpm) and you might have better luck. It's so humid over here that line drying is useless.

The dryer dries a load in about 30 minutes, even though at the start of the cycle it tells you otherwise.
About line drying, I live up in Toronto and the summers are always hot and not that humid, so we line dry whenever we can. I always set the spin speed to high, and as long as I add some liquid fabric softener and shake out the clothes a couple of times before hanging, there are no problems with wrinkling. Plus, thanks to 30+ degree weather, the clothes dry outside almost as fast as the Oasis dryer!
