Odd Wards range!

In an apartment I had, there was a Wards 40" range from slightly earlier than this one...I'd guess this dates from 1964 or so; the one I had was 1961-2. That was in Tampa (which, along with Portland was one of Wards' larger markets).
Looks like the westy TOL washer for wards of the era.
That style cooktop with the griddle or deep dish electric skillet in the middle and that slanted panel between the cooktop and oven doors reeks of Roper. It could also be a Sunray. The style of the control panel was Wards' own and they had different manufacturers use it for Wards' appliances. Talk about putting lipstick on a pig with this stove.

An interesting control panel for sure, looks like the builder economized by using the same console for a 30" range as for this one. Looks good though.
Where were Ropers made? One of my grandmothers had one, a big 40". It was a good range that lasted for decades, maybe their quality went downhill after hers was made. Yesterday I was thinking of all the pies she cooked with that thing . . . pecan pies (from pecan trees on the farm) and coconut pies were my favorites.

It actually looks kind of Caloric to me. But the control panel on the top looks like an afterthought.

I wonder if it's a Hardwick?? Back then, The Wards front loading washers were made by Westinghouse. I wonder if this electric range was too?

Some were, but you can spot them a mile away, looks more Norgeish to me, Norge did make there top load washers then.

I think we can safely rule out the following: Frigidaire, GE, Hotpoint, Westinghouse. Also not Roper due to their partial ownership by Sears (they made Kenmore ranges).
I'm thinking Norge is a strong possibility, or Tappan, Kelvinator or Philco.
