The machines do have different model numbers. If I wanted "goof proof" would I have really had to settle for less than "Rapid dri?"     What a conundrum.  One of each?

POD = 2 Frigidaire washers one "goof proof " the other with "rapid dri"

I believe I made a thread like this a couple or more years back...

And I stated that I would prefer the Goof-Proof model, to the Rapid-Dry, given the dryness would hopefully be dry enough not to be a burden on the dryer to get the excess dampness out of--at least if I pick the model suitable for both...

Would love to see an up-close shot of the control panels of all three machines...!

Love the Peter Max-influenced ad format.

You do not want the WCDATN unless you want to wash and spin everything on normal. The Durable Press speed setting uses slow agitation and a spin speed of around 660 and the Delicate speed setting is slow agitation and a spin speed of around 330 or something. Slow agitation for Durable Press was no good. Slow agitation was not very effective anyway with that space capsule agitator. The programmed WCDAFN allowed the speed combination of normal agitation and slow spin in the wash'n wear program. There was another deluxe model with 4 water temp combinations, normal or gentle speed selections and large or small load settings and there was another model with independent wash and rinse temp selections, two speeds and two load sizes. Frigidaire offered a lot of washer models in the deluxe and custom deluxe range. It is sad to think of what has happened to once great names in appliances and the jobs that making them here used to provide.

Thank you all for your input. I would want the "rapid dry". I can see how the "goof proof" might appeal to young newlyweds.

We had the

regular model, it replaced a 55 Pulsamatic, the 69 model even with regular spin speed got clothes much drier than my Aunts 606 Maytag.
