but well worth it because of the lint filter.

Good to know that you think it is a good deal. My mother had one of these when I was young, but gave it to a friend as she rarely used it. I am considering it, but thought it was a little pricey as I saw two Maytag wringers(from the same owner) go in my area for $350...They were pristine and basically used as a "twin tub" machine - One to wash and one to rinse. It got into a bit of a bidding war from and asking price of $200 for both and all of the sudden someone swooped in with $350 and left with the machine before the rest of us knew what happened...I am going with more money the next time!

Nothing Gets By You Does It? *LOL*

Only joking!

Yes, the same "Dexter", though the company left the domestic laundry market years ago.

Just as an aside, the company took it's name from the famous race horse at the time. Dexter, was the animal's name and his likeness was found on weather vanes and the like all across the mid-west and many other parts of the United States.

Dexter Still uses the logo today

Dexter "horse" logo on all their machines.. And some models named so too..

obviously I picked the right name...

Me and that machine are about the same width. I've got some plaid boxers that would make a nice dust ruffle for it...well I'm really not quite that bad.
