Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Looks like the final design model before production stopped.

Before they switched to the flat-front style. Interesting the water saver knob is on the outside on the control panel. Friends in Dallas had a similar version of this with the panel propped up vertically and water temp was in the timer for hot or warm (at 10 minutes). The water saver was in the door at the weight-to-save scale. The panel color was also a pale yellow.

Some time ago I was trying to find pics of the Westinghouse dryer that was in our house when I was growing up. I think it was from the 50s or early 60s. I have never been able to find a pic of it BUT the washer in the link about is very similiar to what our dryer looked like ie. the timer control on top at the back right and a small knob on the back left for the heat selection. It also had the slant front with the rectangular door and oval window. Any one have pics of this model?

Thanks.

Gary

Interesting that there is no weigh-to-save scale in the door. Must have been bottom of the line, but it's a cute machine. Bet it would clean up nice.
