Hahahahahahaha! Unbeliavable there were some kind of ads!
I love that ad! They would never do anything that clever or fun these days - it would be models posing languidly in the water while some normal shaped person read the copy in a voice-over. As for the hint of exhibitionism at the end - I'm sure that would be cause for a boycott by the AFA or something 
Several articles in the news lately have been reporting on the high costs of heating oil. People in New Hampshire said they were spending $1000 a month on oil and New Yorkers reported soaring heating bills with heating oil averaging $3.50 a gallon. Granted, a lot of the dwellings are old and poorly insulated, but those heating bills make my $169.00 gas bill for December look almost like a gift.
I have friends and family
all over eastern Massachusetts, and when I visit, I LOVE thier oil-fired hot water.
It is REALLY hot, no matter if it's a coil in the boiler, or a separate oil fired hot water tank. It's usually around 180F!
The ad is so cute, and indeed, would not be made today. Alas.
