Ummm you definately don't want that pesky little '47 GE... I'd be glad to take it off your hands! I'll even carry it up the stairs.. by myself!!

:)

Get rid of your house and buy a bigger one!

Or if you prefer, I can keep some of your washers here in Brazil for you. I have room for all of them if you want.
I'm sure I would care like they were mine.
Specially your front loaders or the Philco, or your LKs, or your Frigidaires or your GE or the Maytags or the ABC or the Bendix or even your detergents collection. LOL

Can't identify the last washer before green archway--hig

That beast of a Whirlpool combo is taking up WAY too much room and uses so little water, how can it possibly clean like the others. I'd send it off on the next spacecraft headed for Lake Erie.

I'll take those '57 Kenmore and '58 Frigidaire pairs off your hands. Why would you would want such things cluttering up valuable space? Isn't that what friends are for?

Robert, I am willing to give your Norge a good home, and I guess I could take the Speed Queen too!! That way you can put the new set right in there, without moving anything else around! So what do you think? <:

Appliance Museum

Robert,

You need to set up a fund and have everybody here donate money to purchase a warehouse that can be made into an appliance museum/repair shop. You could sell videos on "how to"and machines in operation along with pictoral postcards, brochures, puzzles and magnets. That would be your best way to continue your passion.

That little Maytag AMP

Needs a home where it would be SO loved. I could give it such a home. Who needs a kitchen stove, anyway?

Lawrence/Maytagbear

Not the Whirlpool combo. Not the Philco set. Not the Norge Time Line. Not the Easy with the timer that's both annoying and fascinating. Not the 57 LK. Not the Hotpoint nor any of the Frigidaires. Not the Bendix. Not Wizard (a.k.a. the Pig). Not the ABC-O-Matic. Not Kelvinator. Not the Speed Queen. Not the Maytag AMP. Not the Maytag wringer and especially not the 47 GE.

Do you still have the Launderall? If so that has to stay. Ditto the Thor "Powersurge" and the dishwashers!

It looks like the modern room has to go. Either that or you're going to have to move again!

Since this non-white set is a keeper ... do I dare hazard a guess and say that you've (HOPEFULLY)found an Apex set?

I'm waiting on pins and needles.

Mike

P.S.

You need to get rid of that cart of laundry products in the corner as well. I'll take them off your hands as well. One can't use vintage machines without them in order to have perfectly laundered items.

I'll be glad to take the WI58 and DI58 off your hands. You don't need them, they're that ugly turqoise and are just too modern looking for your collection.

And if ya don't like me telling ya what I wouldn't mind helping you make space for the apprent real jewels, get rid of the modern room contents and make it into another vintage room!!!

I'm sorry Mrs. Porter, I couldn't help myself!

The heating boiler. It just takes up too much room.

Surely your husband has some items in the basment that can be disposed of............family photos, school books, the wedding gown, a few sets of stilletto heels....

What are the chances of adding heat to the garage, followed by water, sewer, gas, etc? *LOL*

Your such a tease....

I don't think there is much you would get rid of....
You have worked so hard on your machines, and have worked miracles on most of them!
If you are getting rid of something, I would say you must have found something amazing!
Thanks for the recap of your collection!
AMAZING, AND ONE AND ONLY!
Brent

I think...

You should put your Westinghouse Laundromat set in your kitchen... where you have those shelves with all of your extra smalls (see below).
Wouldn't that just look stunning??

Then you can build shelves above the Laundromats--for all of your aforementioned small appliances.

I mean, how convenient would it be to have a washer and dryer in the kitchen..?

That way... you don't have to get rid of anything.
There's always room for one more (or in your case, one more pair)!

:-)

The Lady Kenmores would also look pretty fabulous there...

Or the '58 Unimatic set... although that may be too much turquoise ((Is that even possible?))

Robert this is such an easy problem to solve. Why of course you need to just sell those beautiful turquoise 58 Frigidaire's to me!! Problem solved!! All kidding aside I think Fred's idea is the best one. You have the perfect spot in the kitchen for the slant front Westinghouse set and it would look so neat there!!!

We all know how you really feel about Maytags - kick it to the curb! Sure it will be gone in no time. And that front loading Bendix Combo - geez, who ever would have thought front loading washing would ever be the wave of the future. GONE. ;-)

Ben

Problem solved!

Robert, you need to bring the '58 Frigidaire set to me, I won't even charge you for them! As for the modern room, you should just get rid of that on principle. More room for your other wonders!

Congratulations on whatever it is you found.
Dave

PS, HooverWheelAway, there is NEVER such a thing as too much turquoise :)
