OK I have a 1987 model kenmore dryer. It was overheating and John had me check the venting. Well, the vent line was crushed in the wall, I opened the line up and dried a load of laundry, it did great. It was a little noisy so I changed the rollers, the front and rear drum felt seals, Also replaced the seals for the blower housing. The thermostat has also been replaced along with the belt. I put everything back together, tightened it down and started a load. OMG its so loud, not a thumping just loud (think steady rumble). The roller shafts didnt look worn but could they cause alot of noise? I have double checked to make sure all the seals were in place and they are. Also, I am still overheating, I can dry a load but it will cut out about midway thru the second load. Its getting full open venting. Can anyone tell me some other things I can change/try to quiet it down and stop the overheating? I really am trying to fix this and I really do appreciate any info that can assist me. I don't know why but I guess I have made this a hobby of sorts now.
