Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

@ Keit : great scan ! I'm very curious about that NEFF ... it does not look like contemporary Bosch/Siemens/Constructa machines. That "Indesit Moon -like" detergent dispenser in the door .... have seen just some Zanker on the german forum.

@ Paul: thank you too !!

Yes Neff was a brand you now longer see in this country, will do another scan when I can, Interesting the 1960 edition of which, how things have changed

You do still see Neff ovens i think. There might be the odd integrated diswasher & fridge freezer about too.

No laundry equipment though.

Yes Neff products are still available over here. They are part of BSH (Bosch and Siemens) so are basically rebadged Bosch machines. Usually only available as integrated models.

Neff is still alive and kicking

in the UK, as can be seen from the link below. If you click on the "Showroom" towards the left end of the beige bar, you can see all the products. Whilst there is some commanality of products (and there always was), the ovens in particular appear to be quite different. It was always a big regret of mine that I junked my 1985 Neff 1057 oven in 2000 when I re-did my (then) kitchen, as it was brown and I wanted stainless. The Baumatic I replaced it with was a BIG mistake, and was soon replaced by an AEG with a digital readout. It amazes me that so many modern ovens do not have a means of ACCURATLY setting the temperature - essential for good baking.

Thankfully I have just restored Neff to my kitchen with Neff oven and combination oven/microwave. I hope the new ones live up to the reputation established by their 1980s ancestor

I know it.

What I meant is that today Neff and Gaggenau washers and dishwashers (unlike their cooking appliances) are all plain BSH machines with more bell and whistles, while that old built in Neff frontloader is quite different from contemporary Bosch or Siemens, that had and still have two separate doors.

As Neff has mostly been a oven/hobs/ranges manufacturer, I wonder who actually was their washer contractor.
