Little Bendix

I have one of those, they are so simple and cute. They dont spin very fast.Probably pre-war.Easy to work on those side panels come off real easy.I would like some better panels mine were so rusty and thin,by the time I sanded and attempted to make them look better.Bobby

Anyone?

Is anyone getting this one or should I go for it? I don't need it right now and it would just sit until I had time to work with it so if someone else can get it, by all means please do. If nobody else wants it, I might have to save it since it' so small, cheap, and lightweight.

Volvoguy87, I was looking at that one as well. If you or no one else on this forum wants it, I just might have to get it. How rare are parts for it, such as tub bearings and seals? It looks very cute and I like its design.

You can have it.

This one is both small and light. Maybe 150 pounds. As for parts, I would guess NLA, but others would know better than I do. They are not super-rare machines, but $35.00 is a good price.

Go get it!

matching mangle

Supremewhirlpool,

Glad you got the machine. I have a matching Bendix mangle
that my dad got for my mom shortly after WWII.

You (or anyone else) may have it, for free, if you would like it for a companion piece. I'll try to get some pictures.

It works quite well with all original parts.

It has the same matching Bendix label on the front. It says Automatic Home Ironer instead of Automatic Home Laundry.

(My mom had a total Bendix laundry, ironer, front load wash and matching dryer.)
