Don't know about the Ford, but the Chevy is a 1953. It would take lots of work and $$$$ to put any of those back together. The four door could be used for parts to put the two door back together.

One look at the floor boards... I would run, very fast ;-).

Parts is all these are good for, I think, at least the Chevies.

Too bad, that was a nice design.

Maybe I'm spoiled. California antique cars tend to be in better metallic shape, although quite often they have more crash damage than these Wisconsin rides have. There's always something ;-).

My latest automotive interest would be a Chrysler Crossfire convertible. I saw one on the road yesterday with the top down, and that's a very nice looking car. Perfect for this weather, too!

The Ford is a 1950 model

What engine is in it? (or is there an engine?)

Sorry, I read the post again and I see that the cars are not yours.

Those cars

have seen better days.

My Aunt Doris had a '53 Chevy Bel Air 4 dr. alot like the one shown, except in light green and white. She bought it in Hattiesburg, MS; her first brand new car she bought with money she made working as a nurse. She kept it until '64.

Some elderly people down the street (deceased for many years now) had the '50 Ford in an olive green color. Always thought it was one of the ugliest cars I'd ever seen. It was in poor condition for only being 10-15 years old at the time; not a whole lot better than the one pictured.

I did notice the stainless trim on the Chev. sure has held up nice. Not much else has, other than the glass.

My parents had a 54 Chevy Bel Air 4 door. White and orange two tone. Looked like a Creamsicle. They claimed for years it was the best car they ever owned. All I remember was the color, and that it had a 6 cyl engine in it. Oh yeah, it was their first car with an automatic transmission.

Nice Chevy but yeah, probably too far gone and not a desirable enough model to do a ground-up restoration on it.

But then again, anything labeled "Power Glide" gets my attention :-P
