As a Virgo myself, I would agree that Virgo's like clocks. Must be something about the perfection of keeping time.
We have quite a few clocks around here.
A Cuckoo we bought in Germany in 1994..
A Linden Bracket clock that was a Ebay disaster. But we put a new movement and not only does it keep perfect time, but it sounds more like a Grandfather clock than a Bracket Clock. Built in 1970. I have bought other Lindens like this one off of Ebay and put new movements in them and given them as gifts, but none have had the rich and bold sound of this particular one. The other ones sounded more like Music Boxes rather than Grandfather clocks.
A Japanese Linden "Gothic Look" clock that only dings once on the hour. Very loud ticking. Age Unknown. But we got it on Ebay very cheap less than $10.00 and the reverse happened. The seller said that it doesn't always want to work, but as long as we have had it it has never stopped, and we've had it for two years!
A Howard Miller Grandfather Clock, it was a Christmas Gift from my sister in Chicago. We've had it about 2 years now. I think it sounds kinda chintzy on the hour strikes. It sounds kind of like someone hitting the bottom of an aluminum pan with a metal spoon. We've made sure the hammers aren't resting upon the chime rods.
Of course, since we like photos......
