You can see why Kitchenaid was king of dishwashers back then.
I got this one!
I know next to nothing about Hotpoint impeller dishwashers. It will be quite some time before I can get to this one. It may be up for grabs if someone wants it.
What can you tell me about this Hotpoint?

It does look rather primitive though. Looks like a normal family would have to run a load for every meal lol.

It may be a gravity-drain model, but you can rig up a pump to simplify future installation. I'd have to guess it's very early 50s - good save!!

For those unfamiliar, these units are 27" wide, as opposed to the standard 24".
I would have preferred one of these over the GE pull-out we had.

That DW was actually pretty advanced for 1956
Just ask "Happy Hotpoint", aka the late Mary Tyler Moore.

The '56 looks just like the one that came with the FL house bought in '57 but I don't remember any rinse injection.
Later versions had rinse injection...
