I am not really into wringer machines but i have had my eye on this one for over a month at a local swap meet the guy started off asking $300.00 whew!! he finally came down to less than half of that so i had to have it. It`s a model E2LP looks like it was the top of the line of this series it has adjustable legs and a hinged top lid along with a foot control pedal for the wringer guess that frees up your hands to run the clothes through the wringer Too cool it has a real cute maytag blue agiator with aluminum tub and top trim best part of all it works perfect it also has the Original warranty card,Instruction book and the operating manual Wow What a Cool find !!

The foot pedal is a "dead man's safety switch." You must stand on it in order to run the wringer. I read somewhere that many users got around his by rolling the machine onto the pedal. Does your machine have an electric pump, or is it gravity drain? That will be fun to play with. I remember family and neighbor women saying nothing gets clothes as clean as a good wringer washer when I was a kid.

That was my late mother-in-law's last Maytag. That pedal is a PITA. They rot away after awhile. I believe they are still available, but who knows for how long? That machine would date from the late '70's or early '80's, no later than 1983 though.

way cool

Congrats on your Maytag Master series wringer washer. This model was the top of the line. I have one and use it all of the time. The annoying pedal that is connected to the wringer was put there by the factory to make it safer to use the wringer. If you got you hand or whatever caught in there all you have to do is take your foot off of the pedal and the wringer stops. If you plan on using this machine, you will find that the pedal is annoying at best. Find where it joins the machine, remove if from there and screw in an appropriate screw and the wringer will work fine without it. Happy washing. Gary

I have a Maytag wringer similar to the one shown-Mine was a later one-built around 1985.The wringer pedal on mine is missing-got it at the swap shop. They commented the only wringer they had seen in years.I looked up the SN on the Maytag collectors website-they have a list of SN's so you can date your machine.Mine has the pump-a lever on the side engages or disenages it.

Sorry folks, pedals are NLA, only old stock. Very few parts are still available nowadays, I'm still in search of a pump assembly for my wringer, also NLA.
