Not all stoves like this with electric convenience features in the back panel and oven light is a guarantee that it also has electronic ignition.

Check to be sure before buying.

Early 80s Hardwick 30" Gas range

This range is likely to have electric ignition, but they were still making them both ways during this time period.

By some time in the 90s the standard was written that if a gas range had a power cord on it that it must also have fully electric ignition so having a cord and even an oven light was a sure sign that the range had electric ignition.

It was not until a few years into the Obama administration that ridiculous wasteful and dangerous  constant burning pilot lights were done away, I am sure that old mango face is considering bring them back so that the rich landlords can keep poor tenants poorer and living in more dangerous conditions by making them pay for the gas they waste and having to breve the carbon monoxide they generate.

These DO

Have electronic ignition Thankfully they have spark ignition for the oven as well so you CAN lite the pilot in case of a power outage These bake great but I personally would rather have pilot lights I HATE electronic ignition

Tim, isn't that an odd burner valve arrangement?

I have a 24 inch GE range with a most unusual arrangement of the surface unit switches. On the left side of the centrally-located clock and below the buttons is the label REAR and above that are the words LEFT & RIGHT. On the right side of the clock is the label FRONT and above that are the words LEFT & RIGHT. I have never seen that on another range.
