Old Schulthess with keycards

There is an old Schulthess for sale on a swiss site. It's a Schulthess with a kind of keycards that are pressed on a sensor I think that senses the holes in the card. Quite a unique system, never saw it on any other brand.

Here is a picture of the keycards. Six different cards mean six different cycles I guess. I wonder if you could do a part of such a cycle.

Those cards remind me of the old programmer card of the professional dry cleaning washers from the 70s to early 80s!

Gosh, they were retro even for the times but many colleagues of my father had them, thank god our machines were always electronic!
Ah the convenience of a display ad a few buttons!

Yes, you are right. The auction has been ended. Perhaps the bidding time is over? I'm not sure how this site works. I guess more or less like eBay, they have a max. bidding time too, don't they?

Keycards

When I was little, I used to stay for weeks at my gran's during the summer.
Very close to her building is a laundry service, that had many machines, but I remember there was one big and 4 still big but a little bit smaller. Anyway those 4 were working on keykards, but they looked differently than that.

Maybe they were Scultess, but some other version, maybe not

A lot of brands had models with keycards in the past. Miele, Bosch, Hoover, Schulthess and many others had them. Especially commercial models came with them. I guess it was easier to adjust the cycles by making new keycards was easier than reprogramming a mechanical timer.
