Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

For those of you who haven't been to Greg's yet, I would have to say that he is one of the most gracious hosts I have EVER met. You always feel "at home" at his house. Ben, It was fantastic seeing you again. I'm sorry I didn't get to make it over before you left. The weather sure took a turn didn't it?? I am glad you made it home with no problem. I had an idea for your Maytag records if you hadn't thought of it already, but I think a "kiddie" record player with a 78 speed would work for you to play those. Any GE or whatever from the late 60's thru the 70's would work. I can't seem to come up with any "automatic" changers that would work. Terry and Roger, it was a REALLY nice visit! Thanks for taking the time to come over! Can't wait to see you again. Terry... let's whip up a batch of that Velveeta Fudge!

Looks like a KDS17 to me...

Looks like fun guys, I wish I'd known, I'd have driven out for the fun too!

There's Milwaukee coming in two weeks!

I need to try and get some calls made when I get home from the gym later, but I have heard from one participant that this was a great event! I'm going to try and get up there for the event next fall.

....Velveeta fudge??

Velveeta Fudge...

Yes, I know, "bandwidth" - but here's the recipe.

8 oz. Velveeta Cheese - I don't recommend the kind with jalapenos ;-)

1 cup butter
1 1/2 tsps. vanilla extract
1/2 cup baking cocoa
2 (1-lb) packages of confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup nuts

Combine cheese and butter in large saucepan over low heat. Heat until melted, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Add vanilla and cocoa; blend well. Add confectioners' sugar and nuts; mix well. Pour into buttered 9x13-inch pan. Chill until serving time. Cut into squares. Yield: 5 dozen.

Thanks Venus! That's really easy. I've never heard about that before.

Any future mentions of the "B" word are going to elicit acting out of the "S" word from LA...meaning SLAP! Let it GO, people.

Scott:

You'll never hear the "B" word (at least "Bandwidth") from me again! I don't want to experience that "S" word or the "California Howdy"!!! ;-)

The Velveeta fudge is really good! Try a little Mexican vanilla in it for a hint of cinnamon flavour!

I've never made fudge, may give that a try sometime. But I'd prefer to omit the nuts, I like the texture better without.

As I've mentioned in regards to the "B" word, text posts use very little ...

(And Scott, if you wanna give me the "S" word for mentioning it again, you'll have to come HERE to do it! :-D )

Thanks Venus! I think I have some of that Mexican vanilla here. Like Glenn, I would go without nuts as well.

Glenn: you're on! ;-)

What great pictures of a wonderful time!! Greg I can't thank you and Skyler enough for being such great host!! I had a wonderful visit and just wish that the time hadn't gone by so fast. Roger and Ben it was great to see you both again. We had so much fun doing laundry, working on the machines, and of course cooking and eating. That GE is one fantastic range. The Velveta Fudge was really kind of a joke, but I was sure there was such at thing!! Jamie it was good to meet you as well and the next time I'm there we will have to whip up a batch of it, we just won't tell Greg that there is Velveta in it.LOL. Once again guys, thanks for a wonderful visit. Terry
