Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Oh, that is pretty! It looks a lot like the machines in "Mother Takes a Holiday." Love the styling of these early machines.

Home in the morning ..

Hope to have more pictures to post ... Winnie may get a new hose tomorrow!

Here is a pic of the cycle dial I had forgotten I had...

Traveling Man

Scott, may I ask what you do that requires such travel, you really do seem to pop up all over the place...

I have to say you are certainly a go-getter in you appliance acquiring, really roping in some nice ones.

My Gig

Ha... I do travel a lot with work ... I project manage architecture and design projects.

I also like to hop in the car and drive, so I can plan mini weekend trips around a washer (or other) fun purchase.

I have been so lucky to find the machines I have so far ... it has all been good luck and goodwill. I just really need a few more machines to fill the gaps. Once I reach my maximun ... I'll use the Robert rule ... one comes in, one goes out.

I have to say, so far everyone from the club has been great to meet and very helpful ... especially loud and clear thanks to Gordon, John, Graham, Jed, Robert, Fred and Ted.

Yep ...

Suds pump ... the plug is in the "top hat" which stored a tiny bit of water to prime the pumb upon suds return ..

Hose replacement ... Grey 2 Black

Jed gave me a spare black drain hose ... which has now become the new suds return hose. The original (yes absolutely original from 49/50) hose was too brittle to save.

Scott...

What a gorgeous and CLEAN machine, I can't wait to see you get this up and going, the 1st gen WP and KM automatics are just gorgeous.

So True!

I have a first gen Kenmore flat top too ...(see my Three Ladies Thread>Karen). Hope to do a side by side comparison at some point.

How on Earth did I manage to miss a thread with such a fun, punning title? The Whirlpool is a truly beautiful machine---congratulations on having a matched set. The best part: Winnie The Pool is ten years older than me. I feel so young, LOL!
