Nice machine! The interior looks nearly identical to mine. As mentioned before, the Pots and Pans cycle with a high temp wash will clean nearly anything! One question, does your user guide have a cycle chart in it? I've noticed many of the newer KM WP dishwashers do not. On mine, only the Pots and Pans cycle does two actual rinse, the other cycles(normal and light wash) only do a purge and final rinse. Good choice!

rinse vs. purge

gr81.., the dependant variable for both Normal and SmartWash cycles is based upon the sensing of just how big the load is, how heavily soiled the load is, and the intial fill's temperature.  If that's critical issue for you, then just use Pots Pans all the time.

drying performance?

Nice dishwasher! how is the drying performance with the plastic tub?

my dishwasher is a stainless steel tub and when it try it drys using the remaing steam from the steam sanitize portion of the cycle and i have it on no heat dry and its do wonderful drying job

Everything but plastic comes out dry. I haven't tried Jet Dry Turbo which claims to overcome that hurdle. I have a few bottles of Lemi Shine rinse agent to get through.
