OMG!!!!!! Pink Alert ! Pink Alert!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Have a side bet on "Fifiesfan" being the snipper winner. He seems to have a knack for it and this set seems up his street.

Seller must be besides themselves, bet they never dreamed the set would go for over one thousand. Has anyone been able to get the "story" behind these beauties? Are they the sellers? Did he/she pick them up off the street?

I'm about to bust to see some clearer, closer pics of the control panels. That timeline is awesome! Wish I could read more clearly the cycles on it. This must have been the last model before the scrubber cap was introduced on the 59. I hope someone in this group wins them!

$3,650.00 I'm getting dizzy(er).

So what would happen if I eBay'd my Turquoise 1958 Unimatic/Filtrator set? Could I retire?

....are these the Ultra Cleans of which you speak?

Yes, oh and a Big Congratulations Mark. I'm thrilled a club member is the owner of those machines! They are too beautiful to go anywhere else.

When you get them I think its time to start a special Lady Kenmore Club Album where we can should off all of our Lady Kenmore's.

The only reason that I bid on these was to keep them in the club. (I'm really not a Kenmore fan) Since I didn't recognize any of the stage names of people bidding, I went ahead and bid. Several years ago I lost a set of pink Maytags to a lady that didn't collect, but had a pink kitchen and wanted them to match her kitchen. Found out later that she discovered that her local Maytag repair man couldn't fix them, so the dingbat put them out at the curb. The machines were lost forever and I learned a good lesson! Now about those Ulta Cleans.................Mark

I couldn't agree more with you Mark; better have them in the club than in someone else’s hands who does not understand the full value and uniqueness of what they have!

Congrats again, they sure a beautiful. Now we need to find the 1960 and 1961 sets.

Wonderful set Mark, I know you will cherish them and take good care of them. Those are pretty easy to fix too. Let us know how they work when you get them installed........

Mark,

Well done!

Who was the second highest bidder? Was it a member?

Glad also to see these beauties going to a place where they will be well taken care of, and treasured. Too many people doing "vintage" think they want vintage appliances not having clue what they are getting into. When they get a vintage item, then find out it needs work/repairs that cannot be done off the shelf it is highly likely the poor item goes off to the krusher.

Oh well

I put in a very substantial snipe bid, but apparently the bidding was already up over my bid when the snipe launched.

Mark, congratulations. If you only bid on them to keep them in the club, we should talk.
