And they go both ways. The newest KOTULAS catalog on page 40 has the Equator W/D combo and according to the ad it can be VENTED OR VENTLESS! Pretty sure that's a mistake, but it could change the world as we know it.

Equator's website appears to be down
When I started house hunting, I actually started checking their website every couple of weeks to see if their new machine is any closer to reality. No go on that.
However, this convertible model has been on there the whole time. IIRC, there is an optional blower if the venting is longer than 15' or so.
I'd love to know if their product quality has improved any. I bought one in 2000 or 2001 and it worked great except for needing to take the top off and clean the lint out every month or so.
I think I'm one of the few people to get a non-lemon Equator as I NEVER had any non-lint issues with it. I must have been on a roll because at about the same time I bought 2 WindowsME computers, both of which were totally stable.
Back to packing for me,

I worked for that "Sweatshop mentality" company and saw how many thousands of combos and stacked washer/druers were useless due to bad design and cheap labor in China where they're made. My paychecks would bouce and sometimes more then not, I had to take days off because the lights anf,power were not paid.But,the owners drive Mercedes sports cars and vans.

Glen, good question. Maybe it condenses and vents at the same time. I find it interesting that it only hooks to cold water..

It's either/or, I believe....
... not venting and condensing at the same time. My 3600 from 2001 needed a trickle of cold water to keep the condenser cold enough to dry out the hot, steamy air circulating around the clothes.
As for lint, that was a problem seemingly unaddressed in the 3600 so I had to take the lid off and remove a few parts to vacuum lint out. All the models after mine supposedly have a lint filter. I've never seen a newer model in person so I can't tell you how it's set up.

First, your bank treats you as if YOU were the one who wrote the bad check and fines you for your employer's mistake(s). Then you have a cascade of late fees from both your bank (again, punishing you as if you're somehow involved) and from the companies to whom you made payments that bounced.

This is getting more interesting! Finally found owners manual through the Sears site. It looks like they took the old manual added some pages. It does say it needs to have vent hose installed but gives no specifics on how and doesn't address the "added vent blower". Nor does it address suggested vented drying times.
There is a manual on the Kotulas page right under the text.

I found that using a bit of fabric softener, washing clothes of the same weight together (less of a problem given the smaller capacity), and taking the clothes out and hanging them up immediately after they're done went a long way to reduce wrinkles.

It may well look like a Haier ,and may well be made by them, but the rear view with the inspection panel removed as shown in the video reveals its true origins. Its a very old design as once built by San Giorgio.In the video ,the rear shot of the machine you can even see where a rubber gromet has been inserted at top r.h. side of tub where the original San Giorgio had 2 hoses for the venting the dryer exhaust.In the u.k. we had variations of this machine and used to be sold as the Servis companion washer dryer .Blomberg WD1100 washer dryer.Carlton washer dryer and many many more.A lot of the Chinese built dishwashers,clothes washers that ive worked on seem to be of Italian origin ,mainly old Indesit models. Its a pig with lipstick on! Nigel.
