Yup.....

Hey Eugene

I live in Dover and work in Folkestone so im in the thick of it lol!. The really odd thing is I didnt actually feel it as I was on a bus at the time.

There is some structual damage, mostly chimney stacks etc. Also the power was off for over 2 hours and the gas company have been out checking for leaks.

The shop was fine except for a pile of spare parts fell on the floor :)

A 4 point something is definitely feelable. When I lived in LA we had a 4.5 at night and things came flying out of cabinets. Unfortunately, the liquor cabinet opened and some good wine and Sky Vodka went crashing to the floor. Sadly, I could have used a drink after the earthquake, but there went my stash. I put latches on all my cabinets after that. Keep safe!

I feel the earth, move, under my feet....

All we are is dust in the wind.

Mother nature is a might powerful gal.
Glad you are well!

I felt one here in New York, and I thought a truck (lorry, sp?) had landed in my living room.

Been there, done that...well, not in England anyway!

Glad you made it through the temblor okay, seamus...

Where I live is on the fringe of what has been the site of one of the major earthquakes of the 19th century...and earthquake experts have said for some 40 years that the New Madrid Fault in southeastern Missouri is overdue for a big one...

The New Madrid Quake of November 1811 was considered one of the most powerful earthquakes in modern history, causing bells to chime in church steeples as far away as Boston, and aftershocks lasted well into 1812.

Most unusual for you, however, mate...
