one great condition Servis Mk75 Supa-dry. The seller is a member of one of the Yahoo Groups - hope it goes to a good home.

(the pain of seeing stuff that I myself would snap up if I could is becoming extreme - compact servis', hotpoint liberator's, square door bendix's! admittedly predominantly dryers, but nevertheless - blast the UK's stupid house prices).

Cheers
Paul

Great find Mark

I have never seen one of these before.
As you say, it is one of the VERY rare Autocare series machines, derived from the A3108/3110/3112/3114 series.

Many thanks for posting this - I will be letting someone know of its existence forthwith!

Cheers
Paul
p.s below is the A3156 1100 machine (the A3146 was 800 rpm) - quite different colour wise from the A3146

Servis

OOh that brings back memories. My best mate had one of the Servis 75 dryers. Or rather his mum did. It wasn't reliable though. Once catching fire when it was new and secondly the drum fell out after a few years use and made one hell of a mess as it kep running, tearing up drum and clothes. I quite enjoyed it though. The Hoover A3146 I have also used as a young teenager on holiday in a rented place. It was amazing and kept me busy for ages when allowed ("Mum can we do some washing now ..." lol)

Steve

Matchboxpaul,

Thanks for the memories!!
We had the Hoover Autocare after we said goodbye to our first automatic the Electra GL2! That was when I was 16-ish! circa1983
What a fab machine!!! Only shame was that it didnt have a Half load button..
Thanks again
Peter

Paul

Those are our machines...lol

Mark

Ps Although the 1469 should be a liberator, its an early 1469 so it isn't purple. Blue and black instead.

How do Mark

I know they are.

Hence I thought that they should be added to this thread - sorry if I stole your thunder!

Cheers

p.s great news that you have changed your mind re the two classic front loaders - I am sure that you would have regretted it.

Zanussi Z9191T

Hello! I have purchased the Z9191T to go alongside my Hotpoint 9534. I love those pre-Electrolux Zanussis. Manchester here I come!

Tom.

Hotpoint9534,
How is the 9534 doin? A Z series to go alongside! What a perfect machine to stand alongside it! Congrats! I'd love to see some pics of them both if you ever get chance!

Darren

Hotpoints and Zanussis!

Thanks everyone! The 9534 is working like new. It had new bearings fitted by the engineer before I bought it off him. I think by 1989 they'd just about perfected the 4kg machines, of course with the 9536 the 5kg drum was introduced and they just don't seem as solid. (I had a 9537 at uni and the suspension is no-where near as solid and jumps around the kitchen frequently!).

I'm collecting the Z9191T on Saturday and I must say I'm really looking forward to getting it home and plumbed in, I'm hoping it's still got its induction motor as I've never seen one of the induction Zanussis running before. The oldest I'm familiar with is the FL1012 which was still pure Zanussi designed but had an Electrolux brush motor so was more noisy!

Does anyone know if the programme sequence is similar on the Z series to the later FL series? Does it do the step cool down after the wash where it tumbles, fills, tumbles, fills etc?

Tom.

Hi Gary.

If I had a place to put it, I would have placed a bid quick as a flash!
An aunt and uncle of mine had the follow on machines - Mk200 dryer and Mk300 washer. The washer was dispatched when I was about 8, but the dryer went on for a few more years. Ever since have really liked the old Servis compacts.
I hope you filled in the new owner on just what a classic he is now custodian of - it looks totally immaculate and really well cared for (was it an earlier restoration job?).

Never seen a Burco D2 before, although D3's seem to have been rather prevelant recently, with three being available over the last six months or so. Have you an idea of when the D2's were on sale?

Oh, nearly forgot.......welcome to the club.
Cheers
Paul
