Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Wow!  First we see a phone that was probably fairly unusual even in 1956 -- a round base (aka B-1) phone with a #2 or #4 dial, then an Oxford Grey colored phone in the conference room, and later a yellow "mushroom" phone, predecessor to the Princess, in the bedroom.

That was quite a kitchen Mary dreamed up, too!

Yeah, that phone dates back to the 1920s, except for the handset.  The original handset was even heavier, and the weights of the transmitter and receiver elements were not very well balanced.  The dial could even be older than 1920, and originally used on a "candlestick" type set.  It's too hard to tell without a better close-up shot.

Oh I don't know. I sorta' see myself dancing around vintage appliances. Like most here in AW.

As for the phone, I too was surprised on how ancient it was.. I guess since the 302 had just recently ceased production, Western Electric didn't want it too appear real dated. The refrigerator was gorgeous, although sorta' dated for 1956.
