One More Time, Please!

A few months ago, someone on here posted a method to get perspiration-antiperspirant stains out of fabrics. I have a few light colored 50/50 blend dress shirts that are in need of this treatment.

Please refresh my memory on what I can use on them and what the procedure is.

I read something about applying a paste of baking soda on the stains, so I tried doing that yesterday before I took them to the laundromat. Nothing happened.

Please...I'd like for someone to help me out who's experienced this problem in the past. As stated in my first post, I have some 50/50 shirts with these stains, and I simply cannot afford to buy new ones at this time.

I use either a paste made of Liquid Tide and Colorsafe bleach or borax......rub into the stain, roll up, place in a plastic bag over night, and then wash in warm to hottest water......

even a super quick dunk in a bleach rinse( 1/2 cup of bleach to 2 gallons of water) will work too, plunge garment in for about 15 seconds, and then plunge into another bucket of clear water, then wash.....just be careful of certain fabrics....

very few stains I can't get out by this method......

One of my Aunt Ruth's remedies was to hold the offending stain over an open bottle of ammonia. Then wash as usual. I guess the fumes lift the stain.

you ever tried vinegar? I have been told it removes both odor and stain if used full strength.
