Orek air cleaners

Someone had mentioned about getting bearings for an orek air cleaner. Searched the threads and couldn't find it. I have one that needs new bearings. Where does one find these. I have called the company directly and they state that they would not sell parts directly to customers but to local distributors. They would not do anything for me since I bought it through the local dealer which is a franchise. I have 5 of these and another is going to need bearings soon. If anyone is in the market for these units, which I find work very well, buy it directly through oreck online and they will take much better care of you than through a franchise office. This is what they told me on the phone. If you purchased them through us we would take care of the problem just for shipping cost. So does anyone know where I can get these bearings or a new motor?

We have two of these Oreck air cleaners. We bought ours from QVC. When the bearings went out a year later we brought it to our local Oreck vacuum store and they said they had to "overhaul" the unit. The charge was $39.95. This also included a new motor for each unit. They are now as quiet as they were when they were new. And that was a few years ago. They never asked us where we purchased the units from.
