Besides the KDS 15 parts I found for Sandy (Imperiall forum) we also have a vintage double GE wall oven and a GE Sensi-Temp built-in cooktop with controls n the hood. If anyone wants these you will have to let me know by Monday at the latest, or they will go to the scrapper.

They are both in very good condition, the lower oven never appears to have ever been used!

ReStores used to be a place for some bargain stuff......lately, at least around here, the prices are getting outrageous for stuff......some things you can actually find it cheaper in a regular store, and its brand new....

I was there the other day, and they have a SpeedQueen topload washer, a 412 model....and they were asking $350.00....and asking more for dirty used vacuums than what they originally cost....

I think my days of shopping there are coming to an end....

Same in my area...

Some items are close to full retail price, but occasional bargains can be found.

At first I attributed it to their misinformed slaves, uh hm, "volunteer" staff, but word must have come down to jack the prices up.

Let me clarify

These items are free!! (except for shipping). They were goings be scrapped, but because I volunteer there and I've talked about our group they let me set some vintage items aside in case I can find a home for them. But they won't let me hold them for too long.

If someone does want them I can hold them a little longer.

Those are nice; hope someone will get them!

They are probably some of the last made in Canary Yellow, and probably '66 or '67 models, judging by the handles. Look to be the best non self-cleaning model they made.

That is a great ensemble for FREE!  I hope someone can take advantage of the inside track that Alan is providing.

 

Sadly, I've seen ridiculous pricing at my two local ReStores as well.  Like a fairly well used KDP20 for $120.   Knock off the "1" and it might move.

That is a RARE Cooktop!

Someone needs to save that cooktop and hood - they are extremely rare survivals.

John combo52 might need to consider those for his museum. Yeah, that HTF.

Sandy, you'll be happy to know that I am looking into shipping cost to get it here... and join my new yellow-to-be kitchen set! It is beautiful and I am glad that he was kind enough to post them here!

Happy And Then Some!

I'm really, really happy. That cooktop and hood belong with someone who appreciates them for what they are - rare and special - not someone looking for used units cheap.

Keep us posted on how this turns out! And oh, yeah - pics would be nice when things get to that point.
